Let’s see…. Why do I like this recipe so much? For one thing, they are so simple to make and yet they have incredible flavor! I like them because they are so fast to make… less than 30 minutes from start to finish. I like them because they are great for appetizers, lunch or dinner and you can put anything in them and on them. Finally, I like them because they are perfect kid friendly bites and adults absolutely love them. I like them because they are delicious!
Cheeseburger Biscuit Bites
8 refrigerated biscuits
1 lb ground beef
½ cup ketchup
1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp brown sugar
8 small squares of American cheese
Small pickles and shredded lettuce, for topping
Crumble and cook beef in a skillet over medium high heat. Drain the fat and return to the burner.
Mix in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and brown sugar and stir to combine. Cook for a few minutes just until warmed through.
Spray a regular sized muffing pan with nonstick spray. If you want to make bite sized appetizers, use a mini muffin tin. Open the can and lay one biscuit in each of the 8 cups. Mold with fingers to fit the cup pressing down in the center and moving sides to the top.
Divide meat mixture amongst the 8 cups. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes, or until biscuit dough is slightly brown and baked.
Top with cheese squares and bake a few additional minutes until cheese is slightly melted.
Top with a little extra ketchup, pickles, shredded lettuce, etc.
Or serve them plain with just a little ketchup!
